Also the water temp gauge does not read true whatsoever. For the record the speedometer over reads and when the fuel gauge tells you the tank is empty it isn’t, so I think that only leaves the rev counter and I haven’t checked that yet 🙂
If you’re an enthusiast or a track driver you’ll understand it’s quite important to keep an eye on oil pressure as it’s a good indicator of engine condition, when the right time comes to thrash the pants off it or to monitor pressure at the track, especially when cornering hard.
Don’t ever, ever rely on low oil pressure to illuminate a warning light, even when major damage has occurred to the engine it still doesn’t light up!
If you want to install any new gauges that have a 52mm (2″) body then we can supply a converter ring for £22. This fits into one of the eyeball vents on the dashboard. You simply take the vent out, unclip the front, put the ring in and clip it back together. Simple and reversible at any time.
